Another day and it’s another political mailer calling out the unethical conduct of San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos.
The latest masterpiece from the Business Leaders for Fair and Ethical Government PAC focuses on Ramos’ mistress getting handed a promotion to a position in his office, which is now paying her more than $304,000 in annual pay and benefits.
Of course, in San Bernardino County government circles this is all normal!
Back in December 2014, the then-current Board of Supervisors Chair, Janice Rutherford, and the other county supervisors unanimously signed off on this boondoggle.
They knew this was for Ramos’ Mistress but didn’t have the guts to stand up and say “NO”.
It was the third promotion for the Mistress in just a handful of years.
But then again. It’s only taxpayer money.

On April 7, 2014, my three children, Amy, 9, Zachary, 13, & Adam Nichols were abducted from Apple Valley to Netherlands, then into Israel. We had joint custody on a 50/50 timeshare.
San Bernardino County has a Child Abduction Unit, which is a Mandatory Duty Program, #13, of State Mandatory Programs which is found in CA Fam code 3131 et seq., which states essentially that if someone takes children in violation of a custody order, then the DA shall take all actions to recover the abducted children and their abductor… This mandatory duty program, in effect for 40 years, means the State reimburses all 58 Counties for the salaries, costs and expenses of the Child Abduction Unit. Check Secretary of State site for “Child Abduction and Recovery” for Mandatory duty programs, this is actually called Program No. 13 on child abduction and recovery.
For about 2 years I believed DDA Kurt Rowley who emailed me on June 13, 2014 that “We know that Lerai and the children entered Israel on May 5, 2014” and Chief DDA Gary Fagan who emailed me that he is the supervisor of Child Abduction Unit and he has authorized extradition of Lerai Koppel Nichols… wait for it… thru INTERPOL! Gee, you liar Gary Fagan, extradition is accomplished by filing the request through our Dept. of Justice, who reviews for completeness, then sends it to State Dept. who translates it, then it is sent over in diplomatic bag to our embassy in Israel. Only exception is what is called a provisional Red Notice, which means a request to arrest the wanted party on sight, then the requesting country promises to file for extradition pursuant to the bi-lateral extradition treaty, usually 30-60 days. About 2 years ago, I realized the DA and Child Abduction Unit Kurt Rowley and Chief Gary Fagan were lying to me, probably because of orders from Mike Ramos to not extradite Lerai Nichols because she is the daughter of Judge Carol Koppel, a Victorville Judge in the 1980’s and did not want to antagonize her and her supporters were Mike may pay a political price. So I filed a Writ of Mandate to have the Court order DA Ramos to file for extradition- not knowing about the mandatory duty statute at Fam 3131… I learned later that day after the hearing about it! Court denied it… I refiled, thinking it was not a fully litigated matter, plus the “public interest exception” and “would result in injustice” exceptions applied, allowing the trial court to hear it again, with the mandatory duty statute forcing DA Ramos to file for extradition. Trial court said nope, no second bite at the apple, it is called res judicata, so I appealed, tentative decision is out, no relief, trial court ruling stands on res judicata and the Appeals court did not even address the exceptions! So day after election, June 6 at 8:30 am, I will be in 4th Appeals Court in Riverside for oral argument- which is rarely successful. So I will lose the action to force Ramos to file for extradition, because, as a grieving Dad who can barely see and think straight, missed the mandatory duty statute at Fam. 3131.
So, I believe, unless the voters VOTE FOR JASON ANDERSON for DISTRICT ATTORNEY, I will never, ever see my kids again.
Mike Ramos will try to avoid commenting on my case, saying it is still pending litigation, which is correct, the Appeal is not final, yet…. BUT ASK MIKE RAMOS WHY HE REFUSED TO FILE FOR EXTRADITION FOR OVER TWO YEARS BEFORE I FILED THE FIRST ACTION IN STATE COURT??? No pending litigation for over 2 years! Why do you deprive me of my children and deprive them of their Dad, and of being raised and educated in Apple Valley and going onto college in the UC system? Why Mike Ramos? Just to not piss off Carol Koppel and lose a few votes?
Ramos, you are the most corrupt, despicable, vile, rotten excuse for a human being I have ever encountered! Mike Ramos, you are disgusting for posting a photo of you and your daughter on Facebook, calling her your work out partner! Look at the sad look in her eyes- you are forcing her to act like Chelsea Clinton in supporting both her mother and father. Using your own blameless daughter as your political pawn!!

Your personal choices are on you. You have no right to deprive me and my children of our parental/child relationship.

My case alone is overwhelming persuasive evidence to vote against Mike Ramos and for Jason Anderson.

Both the Sun and Daily Press are corrupt papers, completely in the bag for Ramos, just like the press in CUBA, Venezuela, and North Korea! Our own third world press right here in San Bernardino County, where you lose your children for life, if Mike Ramos is the district attorney and says so, because he might pay a political price by pissing off the Judge!

I should have made it clear in first sentence, that my 3 children were abducted out of the U.S. in Netherlands then Israel, by my ex-wife Lerai Koppel Nichols, daughter of Judge Carol Koppel, a Victorville Judge in the 1980’s.
Want some more sick facts? Lerai was a Victorville school teacher for over 24 years, teaching first elementary school at Liberty, then later at Cobalt Middle School and others. After our divorce, she married a guy wearing an ankle bracelet that had just got out of prison, named William Raymond Waddell, a two (2) strike felon, both strikes for sexual offenses, including rape!
Well, Lerai hid Bill away from me and others so we would not see his ankle bracelet, allowing him to be seen only after the bracelet was removed. Someone told me about his bracelet and I tracked him to his mother’s house in Victorville, where I got the owner’s last name, Waddell, and lo and behold, there was Bill on Megan’s Law!
I quickly got a court order which prohibited Lerai from allowing Bill Waddell to be around our kids at any time. An order she ignored several times…. Incredibly, she married the convicted rapist and then asked the Court to allow Waddell to be around our kids, and the Court ordered a psychologist to evaluate Waddell and take other evidence and report to the court. I told the psychologist to give me a little time to conduct my own close investigation and give her my findings and evidence to include in the report to Court. I did so, canvassing the neighbors around both Lerai’s house and Waddell’s mother’s house, obtaining derogatory information about Waddell from the Victorville neighbors. Bill’s mom was in court when I gave this evidence and she got up and left, shouting that I am lying… Bill was not permitted to be around my kids, ever.
More sickness: Lerai fled the U.S. with my 3 children and her new husband, the rapist William Raymond Waddell!!!
In May 2014, Bill flew the Netherlands to Ontario Airport to visit with his mother, whom he had fled without telling her he was leaving. Bill had a round trip ticket to return to Netherlands on June, 11, 2014.
Waddell had a flag on his passport, but no criminal charges filed against him, so when he arrived in New York on his layover, police stopped him and obtained information on their address in the Netherlands, with a long term lease. DDA Rowley told me to go get a passport, I am likely going to Netherlands to pick up my kids- I did so.
Next, I was notified by DDA Rowley that Dutch police told them that Lerai and the kids had fled that location; current location unknown. Rowley told me that his investigator had interviewed Waddell to get their current location, without success. I said obviously Waddell told Lerai to flee, after getting tossed by NY cops and giving up the address from his papers… I said I will interview Waddell myself, and provoke him into telling me.
I went to his mom’s house but his mom came out and said Bill not home, I left, Bill calls me and tells me to return so he can kill me. I tell him I want him in my office tomorrow for recorded interview, he tells me I will have to give him a ride there, so he can kill me… I continue to provoke him, telling him I know he raped all my kids, he screams at me for 15 minutes.. I attempt further contact the next day, without success, only to learn that Bill was arrested for 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, a gun, felon with firearm, prior strikes, and hate crimes. I suspect the victims are neighbors who gave me some good info about Bill; which Bill’s mom confirmed, screaming to his public defender in the hallway after a hearing as I passed by, shouting, there is Pat Nichols, He is the reason Bill is here…. !!
I take every victory I can! Bill did not make his return flight to Netherlands, he was locked up.
While Bill was out on bail, my house and car sustained some 27 shots to the car body, 3 blown out car windows and about 16 shots to my house windows.. trying to make me stop getting my kids?
Now, 4 years and 2 months later, Bill still has not gone to trial; he is looking at life.
I am looking at life never seeing my kids again.

Ramos lost my vote… he’s a lousy DA, just another corrupt politician who should be run out of the county. If his wife is brain dead that’s her problem. I don’t want my money going to this administration nor do I want a dime going to this slut
Is this the woman involved with a married co-worker (not Ramos) who got appointed to the bench? She then took up with Ramos, then went back to the Judge, and she’s now involved with Ramos again? I’m sure she was earning her $300,000
Salary while all the romancing was going on? Ramos has been fooling around since his days in the Probation office so this comes as no surprise to those of us who actually do the work. The hard workers in our DAs office resent the heck out her . Only the voters can rid us of the disgrace of a man. We hope the voters see through his lies and mismanagement.
