With just nine days remaining until Election day, a new political mailer has landed against four-term incumbent San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos.
The blistering mailer contains multiple excerpts from a March 21, 2018 column by KABC/AM 790 radio host and CNN Contributor John Phillips.
It was a lengthy column hammering Ramos for his actions in the failed Colonies Corruption Case prosecution, which cost county taxpayers tens of millions of dollars and destroyed the lives and reputations of four innocent men.
A prosecution that Ramos has said he would do all over again!
The aforementioned column appeared in all newspapers published by the Southern California News Group.

I don’t think Larson likes Ramos, it appears the legal community is excited for the Ramos exit. I can hardly wait for the next 9 days to pass to watch his humility sink in while being deposed.
I got this mailer today. It was a big one.
Tell the soon to be ex DA that my only regret is this campaign season did not last 7 years then and only then would he know how our families feel. The only difference is we told the truth about him. . If he cared so much about his family versus his ego, he would have retired, and spared his family and the excuses he is having to tell.. I told his campaign manager Ellis, I would remove him by putting his misdeeds in every voters mailbox. Congrats Mr Ramos you got what you asked for and you are done. Now take my next piece of advice and start telling the truth, clean up your act and go quietly into the night. The strength of his victims is far greater than his few misguided supporters, which will be even fewer come June 6th. I suggest he learn from this experience if not I hope to see him in an orange jump suit one day, thereby getting the full experience he gave us.
Green Jumpsuit!
What color is the jumpsuit for sexual deviants like Ramos?
What’s the deal with Grant Ward putting himself out there supporting Ramos! All those failed attempts to prosecute deps over the years. I understand Johnnie boy Mac supporting him. The weak limp wristed tool that he is, but SEBA should know better
Time for Mr. Ramos to spend time with his family….which one will it be?
#5 green for those people. Green for Ramos no matter what.
Grant Ward thinks he’s the hottest politico around. He is just another suckass.
Looks like you Mr Ramos should have picked a fight with someone you could beat. The bell is sounding and you are on the floor, Knocked the f@@@@@d out!
Wasn’t Larsen Burums attorney durning colonies?
Are you people really dumb? There is a whopping 7 people here who read this and constantly throw Ramos under the bus. The simple issue is that it’s the same 7 people all the time and they think that Ramos is actually going to lose. You folks are in for a rude awakening if you think this challenger has any chance. You heard it here first.
James Mills,
What are you smoking? Ramos has no chance
In this world to get re-elected!! Election Day will
Open your eyes as you watch this scum bag
Crash and burn before you!
You heard it here and everywhere so many times!!
There are a lot more than 7 watching this blog, most of us however refrain from uttering uneccessary crap. I promise you that every BOS member is checking as well as the majority of the D.A.’s office not to mention our local press. We all started over at Sharon’s blog and migrated over when she went off the rails and Jim set this one up, though to be fair for awhile we watched both. Everyone is fully aware of whose butt you inhabit James which is why most of us ignore you.
Well this election cycle has been nothing like the previous ones that’s for sure.
Those who comment in support of Ramos on his Facebook page or on the StopRamos.com site haven’t come close to defending Ramos with a plausible excuse and don’t respond to any questions when asked to clarify something they said.
Pathetic actually.
Ramos finds a opinion from some clueless individual in the papers and posts it up like it’s something of great evidentiary value in proving his point.
The trunk monkeys at the County Prosecutors site are also useless in answering questions or defending Ramos.
What did the clueless ones think was going to happen at the conclusion of the Colonies trial?
Are you all really that dumb???
Ramos hasn’t climbed any mountain he’s still at the bottom looking up.
April 7, 2014, my ex wife Lerai Koppel Nichols abducted our 3 children from Apple Valley to Netherlands, then Israel. Criminal charges filed May 2014; Case FVI 1401850. June 13, 2014, Deputy DA Kurt Rowley with DA’s Child Abduction emails me that “We know that Lerai and the children Israel on May 5”. Since then, Mike Ramos has refused to file for her extradition, probably because Lerai’s Mom is Judge Carol Koppel, a Victorville judge in the 1980’s and Ramos feared political backlash from Carol and her supporters. Well the time to vote is this Tuesday, June 5! Vote for JASON ANDERSON for DISTRICT ATTORNEY! If Ramos remains, I WILL NEVER SEE MY 3 CHILDREN AGAIN! Mike Ramos, file for her extradition now, I will be present to bring my children home from Israel, a land where rockets, Scud missiles hit Tel Aviv in 2014, now mortar shells hitting kindergarten school 2 days ago. Mike Ramos, you have deprived my kids of their rights as Americans to be raised and schooled in Apple Valley, deprived them of their Dad, and me of my rights to parent my children- all without due process- violations of our Constitutional Rights. Yes Mike, you and the County will be sued for what you have done- mitigate the damages the County must pay by filing for her extradition now! If we have to wait till the new DA takes office, early Jan 2019; the horrific damages incurred by my children and I will only mount. FILE FOR EXTRADITION OF LERAI NICHOLS NOW, Mike Ramos. Pat Nichols. P.S. I savored planting hundreds of ANDERSON District Attorney signs in the High Desert and elsewhere these past weeks. Mike, you had to have passed some 10 4 x 8 signs along the 15 and another 16 4 x 8’s or so on both sides of the Bear Valley ramps and en route on Bear Valley to your visit last week to the Republican women’s meeting at Spring Valley Lake. You have one 4x 8 sign in the entire High Desert. I put up hundreds. Look for me outside your office building waving up to you with my 4 x 8 Anderson sign.
Hey James mills Pat Nichols make 8 people on the blog.
Wow. Yes Kenny looks like 8 people now. A disgruntled man who didn’t get his way with the DA’s office over a child custody dispute. Never mind any specifics of the alleged criminal act and the fact that the Da of the county most likely had no impact on the decision of this child custody issue. Like the DA reviews every case. That what he has employees for. Anyhow, I stand corrected. You now have 8. You can keep the disgruntled dad.
You’re right James, Mikey might not know, but he does now.
But since this case involves another country protocols would suggest Ramos might have needed to reach out to the State Department and I doubt regular employees dabble in such politics. But possible if they did at all.
But we have several other cases where Ramos can’t say he doesn’t know such as the Redlands school district scandal involving sexual misconduct involving minors. Pure crickets on all that.
Then we have the CPS issues where kids were neglected and the Grand Jury was told to leave it alone. The case where the Attorney General said they would investigate. Crickets again.
If you haven’t figured out yet there are more than a few people within the DA’s office that are talking, you missed the train on all that.
I suspect a couple people are worried about their future employment and have decided to jump ship before it sinks. If it does. Only they can judge.
We are seeing plenty of former FBI/DOJ employees talking about the Russian scandal and the Clinton email scandal, and recent reports are current FBI Agents want to talk. It happens once the higher ups get fired and the coast is clear.
Around here it’s just some confused people not sure what to do before June 5 I’am sure.
I do notice that no one in power is coming to Ramos’s aid like past elections.
I would say Nichols post got the attention of several thousand people.
About 60K hits a day on this blog last I heard.
Just YOU defending Ramos.
Ramos is done. He has no base of support left, except those fools in Redlands.
Countdown to D-Day…D is for defeat
Ramos=Dead Man Walking
Mills not everyone is a good KGB agent like you. Your indoctrination into the swamp is telling. Your bravado is limited to the keyboard like many Ramos supporters. Carry on Comrade.
Today The Sun endorsed Janice Rutherford for reelection as 2nd District Supervisor.
The rational was partially based on her opponents limited knowledge of county issues. Perhaps that’s because he has spent the past 8 years in Sacramento focusing on state issues?
And I don’t recall The Sun criticizing James Ramos when he exposed his minimal grasp of county issues during his campaign, not knowing that one of the major transportation corridors in his district, State Route 330, was maintained by the state and not the county.
I previously stated that I voted for Janice Rutherford’s opponent specifically because she endorsed Mike Ramos for reelection as District Attorney.
In my opinion, the current Supervisors have enabled Mike Ramos to do what he has done, and are either idiots, aligned with him, or afraid of him. I don’t think Janice Rutherford is an idiot, so that narrows it down.
Hopefully Mike Ramos will soon be out of office, but if he is reelected, we need Supervisors who will stand up to him and call him out. Janice Rutherford has established that she will do neither.
And the Sun carry’s how much weight? Sun=CNN.
Who reads the Sun anymore. Newspapers are going to be gone in a few years. Print addition at least. Btw who did they endorse for DA??
Our polling showed that less than 23% of voters in the county read the local papers.
For years Ramos has believed that his endless pandering to the local press, who sucked up everything he dished out, would save him.
It didn’t come close!
This blog and social media is killing Ramos. No hero’s on social media can help him just one idiot here who tries. All is well.
This morning The Sun endorsed Mike Ramos for District Attorney.
No surprise there, but the endorsement article breaks new ground for pandering to Mr. Ramos.
For example, it claims that one of the reasons that Mr. Ramos lost The Colonies case was because the conspiracy charges were dismissed. But instead of focusing on the fact that Mr. Ramos failed to consider the Statue of Limitations when the charges were brought, it points out that this wouldn’t happen today due to a new law that was “motivated by The Colonies corruption case.”
This article could not be a more biased and twisted interpretation of events if Repairman, Red Anon, and James mills had teamed up and written it.
Frank Pine enco are part of the corruption. The 4th Estate is continuously proving its own guilt and bias. Of course, what else can you expect.
LMAO Oof, but IF really explains the Suns article.
So how do they explain Ramos loosing the conspiracy charges and continuing on?
As I recall it was Ramos saying NO WORRIES we still have a good case.
I suspect we will see the Sun article on his Facebook page as another golden nugget for his clueless followers to absorb.
Kenneth Holtz:
You were correct; Mike Ramos has made the following announcement on his Facebook page:
“I have been endorsed by the Southern California New Group which includes the San Bernardino Sun Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Redlands Daily Facts the Press-Enterprise and 7 other daily newspapers.”
Gushing comments from supporters like Gretchen Ramos are likely to follow.
LOL Oof as profound as the North Korean Summit.
Unfortunately that awesome news group, cops, SEBA and just Joe Citizen can’t defend Ramos when challenged.
Stevie Wonder should be able to see that.
I’ll go find the article and see what hero is commenting.
Thanks.
You’re right OoF Mike Ramos put up the Sun Endorsement.
46 likes when I looked at it.
46 likes I think Anderson should throw in the towel.
Frank Pine? Frank Pine the Sheriff’s Ranger?
