A political mailer supporting Attorney/Law Professor Jason Anderson for San Bernardino County District Attorney has hit the streets.
The Business Leaders for Fair and Ethical Government PAC has sent out an effective mailer supporting Anderson for the county’s top prosecutor spot.
It’s the first pro-Anderson mailer to hit voter mailboxes the election cycle. To date the PAC has generated a total of four mailers, with the first three pointing out various ethical and mismanagement problems during Ramos’ checkered four-terms in office.
Ramos is cornered and labeled 45 days out, checkmate!

Should we trust Anderson based upon the political sponsorship he is receiving? Would the sponsors dare to endorse/sponsor any candidate that would not prosecute matters in their direction? To what degree?
Al, do want the brothel owner as DA? The guy who promotes his sex partner as an Assistant DA? Can you even begin to imagine what that does to office morale? We have large caseloads while Mistress Mary does the boss. Why should the rest of do the work we are paid to do while Ramos and his underlings (couldn’t resist that one ) party.
Ramos needs to GO.
Anonymous- the issue is not whether I want the DA to go, it is however whether I and others can trust Anderson considering the support he is receiving. Unfortunately, there are only two candidates.

Hey Al, can you actually man up and admit that the Colonies Case was a big lie? The jurors that heard the case, even while Judge Smith prevented a lot of defense evidence from being heard, decided that there never was a case. Of course, this was for the most part, an unbiased group of citizens, unlike you.
It is seriously pitiful that you, sir, continue to lambaste 4 honorable men who obviously did nothing wrong, and then attack a fifth for being supported by those same men (and literally thousands of other SB County residents.)

Go find Anderson and ask him these pressing concerns you have face to face like REAL men do, instead of taking stupid shots from the keyboard.
Might ask Anderson WHY he left the DA’s office when he did. Do you even know?
Ask him some tuff questions because I’am real sure Anderson is going to have to deal with some tuff customers within the SWAMP if he wins the election. Tougher and more ruthless than you have ever experienced.
When your done asking questions of Anderson if you find his credibility questionable you can do a OP ED in the local papers and come in here with your investigative findings.
While you’re at it maybe you can give Anderson some tips or potential donors you approve of for some campaign cash.
Seems like a really simple challenge to me for a guy like you so concerned about trust.

You’re not concerned about the bigger issues that effect many you’re simply concerned about Anderson being supported by Burum and company and suggest Anderson shouldn’t be trusted because he’s been paid off or might show favoritism to those who support his campaign.

I personally know Al. He has taken on many pieces of S$&t politicians over the years. From reading his posts it appears he is just asking the question about Anderson getting all of his support from one group of donors out there. Would these guys be donating to Anderson if Ramos did not attempt to railroad them in his witch hunt . I don’t think so! Anderson is only guy who ponied up to run against Ramos. I’m sure there are better ones out there but saw the writing on the wall that it’s nearly impossiable to take out a 4 term DA. I want to see Ramos go as much as anyone but don’t see any fire in Anderson. Easy to sit back and have donors write big checks and think you got it in the bag. Not sure about the valley but here in the desert there is no buzz with Anderson. Maybe one sign for every 4 for Ramos. I know signs don’t win races but it’s campaign 101. Even Cook and Olbernolte who are guaranteed to win put signs up.
A little clarification. I’m sure Anderson is good guy and can do the job, but running for DA is a huge undertaking and I don’t see him doing what it takes to win. Not even a letter to the editor about crime. Crime in the High Desert is a huge topic and many citizens write about it. People are fed up and would love a guy who would have their backs. Mail pieces with Mary Ashely go right over peoples head. Ramos plea bargaining every felony should be hammered away!
Mary Ashley should be a hot topic as well as crime.
#12 Al is making a innuendo about Anderson and those on the west side of the county. He could care less about Ramos’s misdeeds, give me a break dude.
Al should remember that Ramos did NOTHING to remove Bill Postmus from office even though it was well known that he was a couple consumed drug addict and was using the Assessor office for political campaigns. It took an independent investigation of Postmus by the Board of Supervisors to finally force his resignation.
So Chris please tell us who these shit politicians were that Al Volger has conquered in his day?
Did any of them come close to conduct like Mike Ramos’s?
Or did those politicians take money from some one Al had distain for?
If Al was concerned about who donates to who and what their intent actually is, he should have spent some time looking into BIG campaign contributors right there in Hesperia.
Those donors who have LONG time relationships with County leaders and have business CONTRACTS with the County where MILLIONS have been made over the years as a result of those relationships.
Some people might call that the DEEP STATE or “good ol boys” club.
Maybe Al should break out his calculator and start adding up how much taxpayer money has been lost due to payouts to VICTIMS of misconduct from the DA and Sheriff.

@Holtz. Al has fought the big money controlling Hesperia politics for years. It’s obvious he sees the same thing happening with Anderson. I understand the need to remove Ramos but to win he needs to do more than sit back and have big money donors send out mail pieces for him. My prediction is 60 percent Ramos in June.

It might be fair to say there might be a strategy with Anderson since there is still 6 weeks or so before Election Day.
I see your point on the signs and I have to laugh in thinking if someone sees a pretty sign they say hey I’ll vote for that guy or gal. But yes there are those who would.
I think there was about 178,000 voters who came out in the last election.
I think the mailers going out cover those voters and then some.
Instead of those signs, I was thinking of getting one of those huge billboards along the freeways that THOUSANDS of drivers see daily.
How about one of those lightened ones you can see for miles?
One thing for sure it’s hard to tamper with or remove those.
I see no reason to expend extreme energy at the moment. Most people forget a good story in a few days anyways.

I remember ALL those experts who said the Colonies boys would get there asses handed to them or plead out to avoid humiliation. How did that work out for the experts?

I want Ramos gone as much as the next voter, but I’m not convinced Anderson is much superior. I certainly wasn’t impressed with his junk mail flyer.
