A local political action committee (PAC) is continuing to expose the ethical lapses, mismanagement and incompetence of San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael A. Ramos.
The PAC, Business Leaders for Fair and Ethical Government, has dropped another in a series of negative political hit pieces against Ramos.
This edition, the sixth since April 9th, is hammering away at Ramos’ treatment of women in his employment, his employees, and related litigation and settlement costs.
So far, other than a limited social media presence, where Ramos routinely lashes out at those opposing him, he hasn’t really engaged politically.
There’s only thirty days remaining before Election Day.

Another full-frontal example of what a sleaze bag Mike Ramos is!
Where does Rutherford and the rest of the worthless supervisors stand on this piece of shit
#2 Rutherford endorsed the scum bag, with full knowledge.
I can honesty say I have no idea how much this campaign against Ramos is costing people, but what an absolute waste of money. I would hate to be one of the donors and know that I contributed to a war bag of over half a million dollars and this is all I got for my money. Oh, and a loss come Election Day.
James mills, with a legacy of being 100% wrong on how The Colonies prosecution would turn out, is once again predicting the future.
My opinion is that this campaign against Mike Ramos will never be considered “an absolute waste of money;” even if he gets reelected, it will have served to educate county residents of what a disgrace to the profession he is.
Ramos is toast. Mills is to ignorant to see it.
Farce,
There is no education campaign going on. It’s seen as a bunch of wealthy individuals who have a hatred for a prosecutor. Everybody sees it for what it is. A political grandstanding circus. Mr. Ramos will be re-elected handidly.
However, if I were somebody that got bamboozled to contribute to the PAC, I would be angry at such a waste of my money. Have a blessed day.
We hear more information about the candidate (Mr. Anderson) from the PAC than we do from the candidate himself. On his Facebook page he is just too busy to answer questions relating to his election. He has a business to run and family to support. That’s nice. Let’s ask for people’s vote but not answer pressing questions.
He has a lot of work to do if he wants to make a run. Time is almost out and 90 percent of voters have never even heard of him.
mills like you tried to bamboozle people on the Colonies case? The taxpayers lost 50 million and you are suggesting a half million of donated money is a waste? You really are a idiot.
This is funny. The only person that thinks Ramos is going to win, is Mills. Even Ramos knows he is going to lose…lol
Look at Ramos’s Facebook page he has a few sheep who sound more clueless that mills. Mikey isn’t answering questions, just thanking those people who have no idea what’s he’s done who love him and want a sign. I see Gretchen isn’t around either. LOL.
I agree with Mills. Although I won’t be voting for Ramos and believe he is a horrible DA, I don’t see Anderson coming close to Ramos in June. Anderson just threw his name in the hat and is letting a few others spend money going after Ramos. Too bad because he is blowing a good and best chance anyone has had to take out Ramos. It’s vety clear Anderson’s heart is not in this race. At the same time Ramos is not doing much either. Ramos will won on name only.
At James Mills
1. You ARE not a woman
2. You have not worked in the DA’s office
Shut the *()L up about things you don’t know about.
1. I am a woman
2. I have worked in DA’s office
It was WELL known what a perv this man is.
#12 really. Those mailers are killing Ramos. Ramos can’t explain them away. Ramos is whining but can’t attack the attackers because he is still facing a massive civil suit. The shoe is on the other foot.
James mills, who was 100% wrong on a previous prediction, now claims to have insight into what “everybody sees.”
I have questioned a number of voters in the mountain area, and many of them are familiar with Mr. Anderson. The mailer that discussed his qualifications and commitment was well received up here.
Many were also familiar with Mike Ramos and his grandstanding press conference announcing The Colonies case, and his abysmal failure prosecuting that case in the courtroom. Some commented on how one of the jurors in that case thought that Mr. Ramos was “corrupt.”
I do agree that Mr. Anderson should conduct a high profile campaign in the next 4 weeks, and I haven’t seen anything to suggest that it will not happen.
Well Mikey isn’t getting any good press, no mailers, public events and fund raisers are dismal.
Even funnier he used the Colonies Case to pump himself up in his last two elections as a real crime fighter against corruption. Without question his biggest platform.
Ramos attacked the hell out of Grover Merritt for ANY association with the Colonies defendants or money.in anyway related to that.
The Sun Newspaper did more than their fair share of articles that supported Ramos. Scumbag David Ellis was front and center making sure the Ramos narrative was out there.
More than a few cheerleaders here and there. Signs and mailers were plentiful.
All Mikey seems to have at the moment is his name, and his Facebook page where he cry’s about a developer slandering his name, and a unethical private attorney who couldn’t run the DA’s office.
From where I sit seems to be a massive difference from years gone by.
Ramos has to be careful in talking to much trash he is facing the biggest Civil Rights lawsuit in County and State history
and is clearly NUMBER 1 on the target list. Ramos is facing potential personal damages that will come out of his pocket.
Ramos is now the suspect and his title isn’t going to help him. Just ask Sheriff Lee Baca about that. We know a civil suit can be a real mud slinging fest. Mikey is out of mud. ZERO.
Ruth Stringer another lawyer who had ZERO courtroom experience got hammered.
Ramos has been successful in NOT being forced to answer questions under oath in his entire career. His minions in the Colonies Case fought hard to keep him off the witness stand. So much so they dismissed one perjury charge against Erwin that directly related to Ramos and if a defense had put on a case, Mikey would have been center stage.
Then we all learned about Grover Merritt’s wrongful termination lawsuit that Grover won hammering Ramos’s minions along the way.
When deposition time came along for Ramos the case was settled and AGAIN Ramos escaped answering questions under oath.
I don’t know of any other cases out there where Ramos might have hammered the opposition challenging him in a potential courtroom battle.
By all means you political hacks speak right up and explain how Ramos truly is the Audie Murphy of the courtroom.
But like we saw with Donald Trump millions upon millions of dollars spend by the Clinton, Bush, DNC regimes and many deep state hacks that tried to take him down. Trump had half the staff and used half the money.
All along the way every political hack in the business telling us Trump has NO CHANCE of winning.
And here locally we again have the hacks telling everyone what Anderson needs to do to win, because Mike Ramos is one tuff customer.
We will see soon.
The Russians won you fool Holtz
@17 can I offer to buy you a pink hat a vagina coat or a cry closet?
Save your money for psych meds..you are a disgusting creature masquerading as a real.man when you are a hurt little boy looking for your 15 minutes of fame.
Hurt a little boy? Are you drunk liberal tool?
Ken, save your stupid alt right comments for some woman stupid enough to believe you. Remind us Ken , weren’t you fired? Why was that Kenny?
Now the Ramos supporters are losing it. “Alt Right.” “Russians.” LMFAO, Ramos is losing and they are blaming Rooskies…..HA HA HA HA HA.
Ramos will lose. No doubt about it. Hi desert chris is clueless. Nowhere are incumbents thrown out of office more often than the desert.
@21 don’t be so angry that Trump is your President.
Ramos can’t win and he and Ellis know it from the poll they just ran. I predict Ramos talks some group into wasting money trying to save him but he saves his little bit of money he has for legal fees because he knows he will need it. Mills is a cheaeader that is rooting for a team losing with no time keft in the game.
Ellis is a slimeball dirtbag.
James mills:
I just visited Mike Ramos’ Facebook page. Here are a couple of interesting comments that he did not respond to:
1) “You are despicable for what you put innocent families and taxpayers through for over 8 years. If you had a decent bone in your body you’d withdraw your candidacy. Cannot believe you are attempting re-election.”
2) “Sorry Mike, you need to go. Millions spent to persecute the Colonies case and nothing to show for it. Your office can’t even put a number on the cost. Any law firm that couldn’t account for time on a case would be sanctioned and prosecuted for fraud. You’re disgraceful.”
I guess some others feel the same way I do.
And since you criticized me for not differentiating between “comments” and “questions,” here are some “questions” that went unanswered:
1) “Why are you taking years and years prosectung predators? See People v. Kenneth Block FVI1402175.”
2) “Where do you stand on sanctuary cities?”
3) “Why do you think your opponent is, to use your word, “unethical”?”
Hopefully this twelve year disaster will be over in four weeks, and honesty and integrity will be restored in the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.
@27 I saw those questions. ALL ignored but those who praise Ramos got a like by him.
You should see his recent posting where Ramos, Sheriff McMahon, and Chief of San Bernardino are sitting in a classroom reading to children.
He again CRIES he’s being slandered but no explanation.
The MAN who puts people in prison based upon “beyond a reasonable doubt” can’t explain how he is being slandered.
When he talks about his family being attacked someone asked me, does that family include Mary Ashley???
Good question.
Kenneth Holtz:
Good point about Mary Ashley; perhaps he does consider her “family,” and that is the basis for his complaining about the “false attacks” against his “family.”
Otherwise, the only reference to his “family” that I recall seeing is the mailer that pointed out that his wife once worked for the Redlands Unified School District.
And given the facts of The Colonies prosecution, he is possibly the last person in the county that would be entitled to complain about “false attacks.”
Reading books to children in classroom with McMahon. Please let that be fake news!
The desert is going to shit with crime. Deputy pay lowest in So Cal. Staffing levels are so low it’s rare to see a unit and McMahon is reading books to children! What the hell happened to law enforcement in SB County
@30. W did it during 911 (read a book to kids). Maybe they think that’s what politicians should do. Was the book upside down? (W’s wasn’t but it was a totally believable story.) What was Ramos reading? Little Debbie Does Devore?
Kenneth Holtz:
I saw the post on his Facebook page where Mike Ramos complains about the “photoshopped” picture of him that was used in a “false attack” against him and his “family.”
He is seemingly referring to the above flyer that shows him staring at a female’s attributes. That photo may have been “photoshopped;” fair enough.
Of course, he ignores the “facts” that are disclosed in that flyer, and continues to offer no explanation as to what claims against him are “false.” Is anyone surprised?
And I wonder how he feels about the flyer that his campaign released 4 years ago that “photoshopped” Grover Merritt’s face onto a cartoon puppet? He probably “does not recall” it, a phrase he may be using regularly in the future.
@33 duly noted.
Funny he uses a picture of him and two LE officials reading to children making such a comment.
No doubt it was a bad ploy to reach the hearts and minds of the unknowing perhaps?
Didn’t the Colonies Partners support Mike Ramos in 2002 and 2006?
What happened? I thought he was their candidate
It looks like Ramos is getting some of his own medicine he has dished out for a long time. Hypocrite son of a birtch whines about slander after doing what he did to many others.
This is obviously the most serious challenge Mr. Ramos has had to face since he has been in office. My sense of it is that this race is going to be pretty close. Mr. Ramos has strong name recognition and the power of incumbency. While his name identification is increasingly negative, that is not absolute, and identification of any sort reduces itself to recognition to a meaningful percentage of voters who are not focused on details and are paying little attention to issues. For lack of a better term, I will label these voters “unfocused.” The question then becomes whether these unfocused voters outnumber the ones who are conversely focused. For most people with everyday lives, working 48 hours a week, commuting 12 hours MOnday through Friday with barely enough time to get to their kids’ Little League and AYSO games, who is going to be in the Assembly or on the board of supervisors or DA just isn’t a high priority, probably something below whether they should buy Colgate or Pepsodent. I don’t know precise percentages, but I would guess that for as many as half of the people who vote, the first time they will think about who is running for DA will come when they are standing at the voting booth looking at the ballot on election day with a pen in their hands. With those types of voters, I think Mr. Ramos, by virtue of his long history in office and the repetition of his name over the years, has an advantage over his opponent. I think this race is too close to call.
#37 could be. Next step take Ramos to federal court and let the world see he is a crook. Your comment is reality.
Who looks sexually harassing more? The woman with her indecent exposure or Ramos that is saying: mama mia!!
@39 If you knew Ramos, you wouldn’t have that question. The man is a pig.
This message paid for by Jeff Burum. Just saying.
I dont care who is paying for the message if it is the truth. Which in this case it is.
#41 yes the message is paid for by Burum. Truthful and accurate. To bad Mikey can’t explain it away. Just saying.
Unwilling you busting balls?
No love for Ramos here, that’s for sure. But it is definitely sleazy to take a picture of someone reading to school kids and superimpose a picture on it to make it appear something is happening that isn’t. It calls into question everything else in the mailer. Plus, this was mailed to households with children. Very low-class. All the Ramos haters on this blog are going to have a fit. But you all know you’d be saying the exact same thing if the other side did it.
@45
Please stop the feigned outrage! Ramos’ consultant, David Ellis, is as sleazy as they get.
If Ramos hadn’t actually pissed his campaign money away, on booze, hotels, travel and women, he would do the same or even worse.
#45 “if the other side did it”? Guess you didnt pay attention the last 8 years and previous elections? True meaning of sleezy for the Ramos team.
46 and 47, your point seems to be that since Ramos is sleazy it’s OK for the opposition to be sleazy. Not much of an argument for change.
@48 nice to see another anonymous warrior more concerned about this issue, than what Ramos did to these men and many others.
Doesn’t seem like much of a defense.
Since Ramos can’t explain what the issues of slander and unethical candidate are on his Facebook page when asked by people with REAL names, I doubt a anonymous hero will impact anything.
What might you be scared of????
I mean seriously 48 we all know Mike Ramos would NEVER fabricate or lie to achieve his objective right?
He has no history of that right?
No chance Ramos would say THEY are picking on me as a strategy for sympathy.
Our lying eyes didn’t see Adam Aleman, Josie Gonzales and many other lie on the witness stand because Mike Ramos and his minions said so.
There was no mailer sent to voters houses depicting Ramos in a classroom with slanderous captions from Jeff Burum. 45 is a liar.
Just fir the record, i doubt there is a more slimy, reptilian, dishonest political hack consultant than ellis. This guy reeks of scum. The fact that he has been with ramos all along is all you need to know.
Just fir the record it appears the Ramos minions can’t explain anything this time around. Just stupid ass one or two line comments that don’t explain the bigger picture. Winning.
How do you know the people calling out Burum are Ramos minions or lackeys or supporters? Burum just got lucky the jury was stupid and the prosecutors mishandled the case. I still want an ethical elected official in office, and one bought and paid for by a vindictive a-hole is no better than a reprobate that cant keep his johnson in his pants, uses his investigators as his personal security, and has killed office morale and tarnished the reputation. Be objective, always!
Unwilling:
So, The Colonies jury “was stupid?” That reminds me of James mills idiotic excuse where he compared The Colonies trial to the OJ Simpson trial.
I do agree that the “prosecutors mishandled the case;” one of the juror’s said that if there was any evidence of a crime, prosecutors should have brought it up right away. Instead, they forced the jury to endure 8 months of testimony, and then told them to sort through it and find the evidence.
And I want an “ethical elected official in office” too; that’s why I said several months ago that I would vote for Mike Ramos opponent, no matter who it was.
Based on what I have seen, Jason Anderson is a qualified opponent with little if any baggage. All Mike Ramos can come up with to attack him is the fact that he is a defense attorney, conveniently ignoring the fact that he was an Deputy DA for 17 years. As I said about the obvious search for something to attack Neil Derry with, if that’s all Mike Ramos could find, there wasn’t much to be found.
As to your claim that Mr. Alexander will be a “bought and paid for by a vindictive a-hole;” that sounds like the type of insipid comment that Mike Ramos cheerleaders such as Repairman or Red Anon would have made, and I classify it accordingly.
@54 LMFAO i don’t know anyone with the name Unwilling.
I will call the office tomorrow and asked for Deputy DA Unwilling.
Now if there were more than one set of balls in that office we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Second i’d be honored to see you call Burum a asshole to his face. First round of drinks and cigars on me.
You screw with people for years and expect them to be nice and forgiving at a epic screw up?
Thats some naive shit right there.
Hey anonymous Ramos supporter, photoshopping reading books to children is a Ramos statement, and if that is what they did to depict his actual behavior, so be it. Would you rather see actual photos of him banging Mary Ashely in the back seat of his car? I’m sure you would think that sleazy too, but that’s just who he is, so exposing sleaze by definition must be sleaze. You can’t expose the truth of his behavior unless you tell people about it and sometimes depict for those that prefer pictures versus reading. Frankly as a Ramos support I would have thought that pictures would be easier for you to follow.
I received a mailer today in support of Mike Ramos.
It attacks Jason Anderson for representing “murderers, gang members, and crooks,” and claims that Mr. Andersons’ campaign is “funded by developer lies.”
Not surprisingly:
1) It does it mention that Mr. Anderson was a Deputy DA who prosecuted “murderers, gang members, and crooks” in the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office for 17 years.
2) It provides no examples of the “developer lies.”
It also attacks the “developer,” claiming that he has “filed lawsuits seeking $250 million from taxpayers,” after he “already received $102 million from taxpayers.”
Not surprisingly:
1) It does not mention that the “$102 million” transaction settled the damages portion of a lawsuit that the county had lost, and that an element of the transaction was the “developer” deeding the county 67 acres of land valued at over $1 million per acre and waiving other damages that exceeded the amount of the settlement.
2) It does not mention that the “lawsuits seeking $250 million from taxpayers” are the direct result of a failed prosecution launched by Mr. Ramos.
Anonymous #52 seemingly has some new evidence supporting his opinion of “ellis.”
OoF thanks for that I haven’t received mine yet.
Ramos sounds like a rat in a burning cage his desperation is telling.
Let Ramos explain his mailer comments at his deposition.
