Postage rates on first-class letters and most other mail will rise Monday by 3 cents to help the financially ailing U.S. Postal Service recoup millions of dollars it lost during the economic downturn.

The Sun: Redlands mail distribution center won’t close

The Sun: Decision on closing postal center in Redlands is delayed

Regional mail processing centers in the cities of Industry and Redlands remain on the chopping block, despite the cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service’s decision to delay closing any of its facilities until mid-May.

Each site has 750 employees, postal officials said.
