The transom is clamoring over San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor James Ramos (D-San Manuel Reservation) gearing up to run in the 40th Assembly District, a seat currently occupied by Marc Steinorth (R-Rancho Cucamonga).
It already sounds like a done deal. But in politics one never knows. However, Ramos, accompanied by spouse, was reportedly making the rounds in Sacramento last week and making it clearly known of his increasing desire to go to the state capitol.
Voter registration in AD-40 has been increasingly favoring the democrats and is now a competitive seat that Sacramento Dems desperately seek.
San Bernardino City School Board Trustee Abigail Medina gave Steinorth a run for his money in 2016. Medina is not expected to run this year.
Ramos has about $300,000 in cash on hand.
Steinorth, who would be a great candidate for Second District Supervisor currently held by Janice Rutherford, had roughly $450,000 in the bank on June 30.
