Is Fox News Channel in the anti-Trump tank?
Well after yesterday it sure appears that way.
Yesterday NBC/Wall Street Journal published its national polling results in the race for the GOP nomination.
Let’s just say the polling data was clearly an “outlier” when compared to other coinciding polling releases.
The aforementioned poll gave Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz 2-point lead over republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Yes. I said lead.
It was a miraculous development considering that other polling, including the well-respected Quinnipiac University Poll, show Trump up 15 to 20 points.
Immediately, the lead-in on Fox’s Special Report with Bret Baier was the NBC/WSJ Poll.
Fox even tweeted out the poll as breaking news.
Baier was almost giddy. Later in the broadcast commentator Stephen Hayes, a big time Trump detractor, was brimming from ear to ear.
Fox darling Megyn Kelly was also pleased with the short-lived revelation of a Trump fall off.
But now comes CBS with a new poll, released Thursday, showing Trump up 17-points nationwide.
Oops! The NBC/WSJ poll is in fact an outlier.
This is not the first time NBC/WSJ has published an outlier poll showing Trump going off a cliff.
It’s actually the third time.
In October and December the same poll was woefully out of sync with the rest of the world.
Interestingly, Fox’s Sean Hannity, to his credit, had the courage to refer to the NBC/WSJ Poll has an outlier.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and even CNN took the same position.
Obviously, Baier and Kelly are intelligent enough to know this as well.
