The newly-formed Business Leaders for Fair & Ethical Government PAC has started it’s fundraising blitz heading into the June 5 California Primary Election.

It’s no secret that in recent years, Inland Empire taxpayers and businesses alike have suffered at the hands of unscrupulous politicians, who have chosen to advance their own self-interest over that of everyday residents of our cities and counties. The wasteful spending of hundreds of millions of dollars on ill-conceived, and in some cases corrupt, schemes has plagued our communities for too long. It’s time to take action to remove the bad actors, while at the same time supporting fresh honest candidates for public office. Candidates who will act in the collective best interests of our communities.

Business Leaders for Fair and Ethical Government is a locally-formed general purpose political action committee (PAC), with a designated purpose to support and oppose candidates for elective office in Southern California’s Inland Empire Region. The committee was filed with the California Secretary of State on February 8, 2018, and approved to receive contributions as of that date.

During this 2018 election cycle this committee will focus on elections where candidates seeking office possess the personal qualities necessary to instill fair and ethical conduct in our local governments. The committee will also target for removal, those elected officials who have displayed a disregard for the law, and their oath of office.

The committee has retained Stephen J. Kaufman and Stacey J. Shin of the Kaufman Legal Group, located in Los Angeles, California, as Legal Counsel.

Treasurer services to the committee will be performed by Nancy R. Haley and Danielle R. Stephen, of Encinitas-based CPA firm, Scott & Cronin LLP.

The committee requests your generous support in assisting us in achieving our goal to raise in excess of $1 million for the upcoming June 5, 2018 primary election. Please be reminded that political contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes.

There is no limit in the size of contributions made to the committee….

Thank you for your support of this worthwhile and imperative endeavor.

The Business Leaders PAC will accept contributions of any size. To make a contribution, click here.
