How does the saying go? Time heals all wounds.

Apparently that’s the case with the relationship between the San Bernardino County Public Attorney’s Association (SBCPAA), and both County Supervisor Janice Rutherford and District Attorney Mike Ramos.

The union spent big money eight years ago in getting Rutherford elected. Then Rutherford turned around and refused to give the group the time of day.

Now the group has once again started donating to Rutherford’s reelection committee.

According to Rutherford’s year-end disclosure, the Association’s PAC gave the two-term supervisor $1,000 on November 10, 2017.

The union has yet to file its 12/31/2017 year end report that was due on 1/31/2018.

The union’s board must believe the recently-ratified contract extension containing a couple 3-percent cost-of-living adjustments, with the hope of a third, was a good deal.

It should be noted that the inflation rate for the Los Angeles region was 3.6-percent last year, and isn’t likely to drop anytime soon.

The union also gave District Attorney Mike Ramos some dough, from what has been labeled as the “Prosecutor’s PAC”. Even though the rank and file prosecutors in the office, cronies excluded, pretty much can’t stand Ramos, the union maxed out, giving $4,400.
