On Saturday, we exposed the lies San Bernardino Sun columnist Sal Rodriguez had peddled in a column and in Facebook posts as he attempted to smear First District Supervisor candidate Angela Valles on the issue of Syrian refugees.
Columnists and journalists aren’t used to being held accountable.
But, social media and the internet has changed the old paradigm when frauds could spread their propaganda without suffering any serious consequences.
After being lit up on this blog, Rodriguez began to do some damage control and deleted at least one of his Facebook posts.

Where did the comment go?
Mr. Rodriguez believes that pools and peanuts are a greater threat than refugees. And…apparently, getting enraged about refugees is pathetic…even when a NATO Commander General states that ISIS is using the refugee programs of American and European countries to infiltrate our nations to do us harm.
In fact, NATO Commander General Philip Breedlove said that ISIS was spreading like cancer among the refugees. But, let’s not get worked up over it…that would be pathetic.
And even after being presented with actual data from the Refugee Processing Center demonstrating that less than one-half of one percent of all Syrian refugees settled in the United States in 2016 were Christian, he still insists on claiming that “many of the resettled Syrians in SoCal happen to be Christian.”
Refusing to admit you are wrong and continuing to perpetuate a lie even after facts have been presented stating the opposite is…well…that is pretty pathetic.
