The headline in The Guardian, a British newspaper, is fitting.

Germany is in fact turning the screws on Greece.

As Greece moves towards a likely “yes” vote on a referendum to accept tougher austerity measures in exchange for more money they’ll still never be able to pay back, Germany is letting Greece an everyone else in the European Union know just who’s in charge.

The vote is Sunday.
