Kevin Jeffries sought to be excluded from recent pay raises, which he voted against, but the county HR director says that would go against state law.

Riverside County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries is getting a raise, whether he wants one or not.

In August, the county Board of Supervisors voted to give themselves raises along with other top elected officials. They extended a previously set formula that ties supervisors’ salaries to 80 percent of what a Superior Court judge makes.
