We’ve been saying it for a year that the President’s healthcare law would impact this years electoral contests..

The Affordable Care Act, affectionately known as Obamacare, is indeed having a negative impact on democrats running in the November 4th mid-term election.

Democrats in heavily-contested states are in big trouble. Rate increase announcements have been peppering voters in several states, and the news isn’t good.

Insureds in several states will be seeing double-digit rate bumps. Some of those states include North Carolina (13%), Louisiana (19.7%), and Iowa (19%).

Alaska will see an astounding 37% boost.

It’s no wonder GOP challengers have started hammering away in the final stretch to Election Day.
