The case, stemming from a 2007 criminal indictment of former officials of the now-defunct California Charter Academy, will now reach the seven-year mark.
In 2007, the case received the honor of a much-fanfared District Attorney press conference.
Now the case continues to sit in a courthouse case file bin.
All sides appeared in San Bernardino County Superior Court Friday morning. The result was another in a string of continuances.
Former charter school operators Tad Honeycutt and C. Steven Cox, in a Setember 7, 2007 indictment, were charged with a plethora of financial crimes related to the alleged improper expenditure of more than $5 million.
Honeycutt is also the former Mayor of Hesperia.
The two are scheduled to return to court on September 12, 2014, with a last date for trial currently set at January 12, 2015.
The indictment was filed on September 4, 2007.
The case, People v. Cox et al, Case No. FVI701868, is assigned to the San Bernardino County Superior Court – San Bernardino District.
