Voters will be asked to choose between the Independent Paul Leon and Democrat Freddie Rodriguez to represent the 52nd Assembly District during a special election Sept. 24.

The district covers the cities of Montclair, Ontario, Chino and portions of Fontana and Pomona.

The special election was called to fill the seat left vacant when Norma Torres, D-Montclair, was elected to represent the 32nd state Senate District in May.

The winner of the election runoff will finish Torres’ Assembly term.

Each candidate answered two questions about key issues that effect California.
