Milo Victoria, the CEO and general manager of the area’s public bus system, Omnitrans, resigned Wednesday, according to a statement from the agency.
The board appointed Omnitrans Operations Director Scott Graham interim CEO/general manager.
No reason was given for the resignation.
“We’re going to miss him and we wish him good luck,” said Chino Mayor Dennis Yates, an Omnitrans board member, of Victoria’s sudden resignation. “It was a surprise to me.”
Victoria, a 33-year Southern California public transit veteran, has been with Omnitrans since January 2010, according to the Omnitrans website.
Victoria previously worked for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and its predecessor, the Southern California Rapid Transit District, starting as a mechanic and working his way to division maintenance manager and manager of labor and administration from 2002 to 2007.
