Local effect of $100 million to trial courts not yet known

First District Supervisor Robert Lovingood is applauding the most recent progress to restore money to California courts, but the local effect of the funding is not yet known.
A state Assembly subcommittee voted last week to adopt Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposal to provide trial courts with $100 million in additional funding.
Lovingood lauded efforts by local leaders in showing lawmakers that “San Bernardino County courts are the most underfunded in the state.”
“I think there has been a good, positive dialogue,” Lovingood said by phone Tuesday, speaking of the interactions between area officials and politicians in Sacramento.
