Both defendants in the new San Bernardino International Airport (SBIA) fraud case, filed by the San Bernardino County District Attorney on Monday, arrived in Southern California yesterday.
At a hearing in San Bernardino County Superior Court on Thursday, defendant Felice G. Luciano’s bail was reduced from $1 million to $500,000.
Sheriff and court records indicate Luciano posted bail and was released from custody yesterday. Luciano must comply with electronic monitoring requirements and surrender his passport. He may travel to states where he has business or residences.
Former SBIA project manager an co-defendant Scot Spencer is scheduled for arraignment Friday at 12:30 p.m.
Both men, who waived their right to fight extradition, are charged with multiple felony counts related to an alleged fraudulent contract used to steal $1.8 million in public funds.
