ONTARIO – The Ontario Planning Commission Tuesday night recommended a substantial plan, which will change land use designation, go to the city council for approval.

A city initiative, the plan involves 350 zone changes for 900 residential, industrial and commercial property owners in the city.

The changes is an effort from the city to try to make the General Plan consistent with what the city feels is the right land use for those properties. Because of the updates to the General Plan in 2010, some properties are now zoned in areas not applicable anymore.
