AP: Calif watchdog opens inquiry on lawmaker’s vehicle

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California’s campaign watchdog said Thursday it is reviewing whether a former state senator broke the law when he used campaign funds to purchase a vehicle formerly owned by the state.
