Anthony Orlando Sanchez, a co-defendant convicted in the federal bribery case against the former mayor of Upland, is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Riverside.
Sanchez, 36, of Rancho Cucamonga, pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to solicit bribes on behalf of former Upland Mayor John Pomierski.
Sanchez was named in an 11-count indictment against Pomierski and Upland contractor John Hennes.
Pomierski was sentenced to two years in federal prison in August after his conviction of a federal bribery charge that stemmed from a $5,000 payment authorities said he accepted from an Upland business in return for a conditional use permit.
