Signs of problems are once again emerging that indicate the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters office could be having logistical issues.
It would appear the county can’t escape election snafu’s regardless of who is at the helm.
In the past ten day at least one Assembly candidate in a a district, encompassing Los Angeles, Kern and San Bernardino counties, received a letter from Registrar Michael Scarpello informing the him his ballot statement had been edited.
An event the candidate has the right to challenge.
Interestingly, the registrars in the other two counties made no revisions.
Can you say awkward?
It also looks as though sample ballots booklets and absentee ballots will be arriving pretty much at the same time.
Absentee ballot mailing is suppose to commence next week. Even though sample ballots have yet to be spotted.
