At this point, next Tuesday is shaping up as a good day for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.
New polls show Romney is holding double-digit leads over former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and a five to eight percentage point lead in the state of Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is an open primary, while the others closed.
All three will award their combined 98 delegates on a “winner take all” basis.
If Romney holds his leads, and sweeps Tuesdays contests, new pressure will mount on Former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Santorum to withdraw.
Romney has been the beneficiary of a plethora of endorsements from GOP heavyweights over the past ten days.
Most importantly, we are all waiting with eager anticipation the next Santorum meltdown.
