Inland Rep. Mary Bono Mack is throwing her support behind former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s bid for the White House, the Palm Springs Republican announced.
Bono Mack pointed to Romney’s time as governor, saying he cut government spending without raising taxes in the New England state. She also said his role overseeing the organization of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City showed leadership skills.
“Mitt has a strong, proven record of leadership in both the private and public sectors,” Bono Mack said in a written statement. “As President, Mitt Romney will focus his attention and considerable skills on reviving our economy and creating jobs.”
