We told you the other day that there a number of folks in Sacramento and Washington — both Dems and Republicans — who are thinking of tapping (i.e. TAXING) online gamblers to help fix California’s budget problems.
Well on Monday, the 62,000-member Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) just endorsed state Sen. Lou Correa’s bill (SB40) that would legalize online poker.
The PORACers “also applauded SB 40 for simultaneously generating new revenues to balance the state budget without raising taxes.”
You know what else more tax revenue and a balanced budget may mean: No layoffs for government workers.
