Assembly GOP Leader Connie Conway has tapped Inland Assemblyman Brian Nestande as Republican Caucus Chair, the 28-member caucus’ second-highest job.

Nestande, R-Palm Desert, represents a district that extends from Riverside to the Coachella Valley. First elected in 2008, Nestande was re-elected to a second term last month with 57.3 percent of the vote.
