The Federal Bureau of Investigation working for District Attorney Michael Ramos?
Who’s kidding who?
Sources tell InlandPolitics.com that federal warrants/subpoenas were actually served on the menu at San Benardino County’s Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) yesterday.
If in fact ‘state’ search warrants were served by DA investigators it would likely be for one of two reasons.
First, state search warrant requirements are less stringent than federal. The feds can just adopt what is seized per a state warrant.
The second plausible reason? The agencies may have parallel investigations.
Sources also say federal agents, not DA investigators, have been quietly talking with ARMC personnel and physicians over that past several months.
Ramos’ office was falling all over itself yesterday trying to make it appear they were in command. Well dozens of federal agents usually don’t show up when a local DA is in charge.
All the blabbering to the press surely didn’t make the FBI happy. The feds don’t like alot of chatter about what they are doing.
Federal agents were reportedly still at ARMC at 6:30 p.m. last night.
Obviously, one area of focus is allegations of free medical care given to public officials. Possibly a problem considering ARMC is primarily a state and federally-funded facility.
One thing is for certain though.
Ramos, with all of his talked about problems and with the Feds clearly in the county, may have a nervous stomach right about now.
