No surprise there. We talked about Poizner’s, ahem, evolution, from liberal Assembly candidate in 2004 to hardline conservative in 2010 earlier in a dead tree edition story.
But in echoing that, Team Whitman is throwing down an unusual challenge: It wants Team Poiz to release all the video it has from Poiz’s 2004 Assembly campaign debates by the end of Friday — or it will unleash it Monday on a new website it calls RollStevestape. Tapes? Hmmmm. Interesting word choice in the digital age. Anybody else smell the Nixon in the room?
On the new site, Team Meg is promising to release SEVERAL HOURS of Poizner 2004 Assembly race debates (“Uncut, unedited, unbelieveable,” bellows the site’s home page). Oh, what a vicious, vicious tactic. Making voters watch several hours of ANY Assembly debate is worse than water torture. It will also post a policy book of Poiz’s positions from that year.
Rollstevestape does answer one question: What has the army of Whitman oppo researchers been up to lately?
