InlandPolitics has learned San Bernardino County prosecutors are seeking to hold off the trial of Rancho Cucamonga City Councilman Rex Gutierrez on charges resulting from an investigation into the operation of the Assessor’s office under Bill Postmus.

Gutierrez who is charged with four felony counts alleging time card fraud is set to go before a jury on April 12th.

Last Friday prosecutors began to seek a delay in the case over witnesses and their accompanying testimony.

The parties are expected back in court before Superior Court Judge Duke D. Rouse at 1:30 P.M. this afternoon.
