InlandPolitics: New TV Commercial Blasts Supervisor Bob Lovingood

lovingood-commercial

The San Bernardino County Public Attorneys Association is buying air time on local cable to broadcast this scathing anti-Lovingood commercial.

The spot slams the incumbent for engaging in shady conflict of interest deals that benefit his staffing agency, hiring a Sacramento lobbyist, and for voting for raises for senior executives at the county.

Take a look and share what you think about the commercial in the comments. Read the rest of this entry »

In Part 1 of this expose, I “copy and pasted” the public information request and answers by the county concerning the employment contract of political lobbyist Fred Aguiar (view here).

Now I am going to copy and paste the second public information request submitted on September 30, 2016. The answers were provided on October 7.

Read the answers carefully and note them. I did. Read the rest of this entry »

This weekend I received a tip from a frustrated voter about how San Bernardino County is refusing to release documents that he believes are damaging to Supervisor Robert Lovingood’s campaign.

Last month, he submitted two public information requests seeking information about the employment details and job duties of Fred Aguiar — the controversial lobbyist earning $122,000 a year while working 300 miles away from home in Paso Robles. Oh yeah. He also works just 18 hours a week…maybe.

He was hired by Supervisor Lovingood in January in what many believe was strictly a move to politically benefit his campaign, including to help with fundraising. Read the rest of this entry »

Corruption and political graft in San Bernardino County continues unabated.

Did you know that Supervisor Robert Lovingood gave a campaign donor and Sacramento lobbyist who lives 300 miles away a cushy part-time job that pays more than $122,000 a year?

Need proof? Ok.

InlandPolitics: Lovingood Lies About Valles to Deflect from Child Sex Abuse Scandal

Well, it is election season and that means one thing! You better have a solid pair of boots so you can wade through all the bullshit.

Supervisor Robert Lovingood mailed out a hit piece on Angela Valles today. It is filled with outright lies and distortions about her record. You can view the mailer here. Before I dissect it, it is worth pointing out one thing.

It is tough for Lovingood to run on a record that includes the sexual abuse and deaths of neglected children in the county foster system, the cover up of a prostitution scandal, and a pension system that is underfunded by $2 billion dollars. When you don’t have a record of accomplishment as an incumbent you have to lie about your opponent. It is pathetic.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s inner circle has taken on an Inland flavor as he begins his final months in office and tries to shore up his legacy.

Since November, Schwarzenegger has appointed a trio of people with San Bernardino County roots to high-ranking posts in his office.

Former county supervisor and Republican lawmaker Fred Aguiar returns for another stint with an administration he first joined in 2003. This time, he is Schwarzenegger’s deputy chief of staff.

iePolitics: DA Ramos To Launch Investigation Of Schwarzenegger Administration?‏

By Senor Blogger
December 7, 2009

Sacramento was thrown into chaos this morning as San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos announced that former San Bernardino County Supervisor and current Governor Schwarzenegger Secretary of the State Consumer Services Agency, Fred Aguiar was under criminal investigation for illegal use of government property.

Specifically, Aguiar is the focus of his decision to use taxpayer resources to pay for fuel on a personal trip in his publicly-financed automobile. Aguiar’s gasoline purchase was discussed in an article that appeared in the Sacramento Bee yesterday. Read the rest of this entry »

Three months after the governor moved this summer to slash the number of state workers allowed to drive government cars between their homes and offices, a top Schwarzenegger administration official personally approved his own take-home vehicle deal.

Fred Aguiar, then secretary of the State and Consumer Services Agency and now deputy chief of staff to the governor, received a special state permit that authorized him to use a $34,000 state Honda Accord hybrid for weekend trips between Sacramento and his residence in Central California.

Aguiar, 60, signed and approved his own 12-month take-home vehicle permit Oct. 8.
