The fourth in a series of multi-million dollar claims related to the Colonies prosecution debacle, filed on January 30, 2018, is now available online.

The latest claim, filed by former Colonies defendant Jeffrey S. Burum, against both the County of San Bernardino County and State of California, seeks unspecified damages for causes of action to include, federal and state civil rights violations and torts arising from when prosecutors, under the direction of District Attorney Mike Ramos, used fabricated evidence and testimony to engage in malicious prosecution.

Former Colonies prosecution defendant Paul Biane is expected to file his claim within the next week.

A collateral defendant, John “Dino” Defazio, who’s concocted perjury case was recently dismissed in the interest of justice, is also expected to file a claim against the County of San Bernardino only.

In the end a total of six claims is expected.

All claims are expected to be followed by series of lawsuits set to be filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in March and April.
