Corruption and political graft in San Bernardino County continues unabated.

Did you know that Supervisor Robert Lovingood gave a campaign donor and Sacramento lobbyist who lives 300 miles away a cushy part-time job that pays more than $122,000 a year?

Need proof? Ok.

Aguiar lives in Paso Robles, California and is part of San Luis Obispo County.

How do we know this?

Well, his Form 700 Statement of Economic Interest discloses it. Also, he has an active campaign account for the San Luis Obispo County Assessor position. Kind of tough to run for a county elected position if you don’t live in the county.

Now, since we are on the subject of campaign committees. Let’s look at Mr. Aguiar’s campaign finance reports which can be found here.

What is currently the second link from the top is the From 460 report. Click here to view it.

It covers the following date period: ( 01/01/2016 to 06/30/2016 )

Now, scroll down to the last page. You can see that Supervisor Lovingood returned a $1,750 contribution to Fred Aguiar in March of this year.

Three Important Facts About This Arrangement

1. Bob exhibited terrible judgment hiring a lobbyist/campaign donor to a cushy, no work job
2. Bob only returned the contribution after pressure from an Inland Empire blogger wrote about it and a High Desert resident confronted him in person and shamed him on YouTube. (See Below)
3. Aguiar has Athens Services listed as a client on his Form 700. Guess who gave Bob a campaign contribution? That’s right – Athens Services

I am positive that Aguiar has been hired to essentially raise money for Lovingood. After all, it can’t be for any actual policy advice or counsel.

Bob hasn’t done anything on his terrorist attack proposal.
Bob hasn’t done anything on the child sex abuse scandal.
Bob hasn’t done anything on the Syrian refugee issue.

The only thing he seems to do is cash checks from the campaign contributions Aguiar and Chairman James Ramos send his way.

As the world turns in San Bernardino County…
