ONTARIO >> Some responsibilities for LA/Ontario International Airport’s future success will be shouldered by aviation expert Bruce E. Atlas.
The Ontario International Airport Authority on Tuesday announced Atlas will oversee the day-to-day operation for the airport, serving as its chief operating officer.
The authority also hired former longtime columnist Cassie MacDuff to serve as its marketing manager. She left The Press-Enterprise Friday after covering the Inland Empire for 17 years. She previously spent 13 years writing for the The Sun.
MacDuff began Monday, while Atlas is expected to start by the end of the week.
With Tuesday’s news, the five-member authority continues to round out its key executive staff as it ramps up to take control of Ontario airport come Nov. 1.
