Wednesday, June 8, 2016 – 09:30 a.m.
Riverside County First District Supervisor Kevin Jeffries easily won reelection Tuesday night.
Jeffries easily fended off two challengers, taking 59-percent of the vote.
Challengers Debbie Walsh and Britt Holmstrom didn’t stand a chance.
In the Third Supervisorial District, appointed incumbent Chuck Washington will face Hemet City Council Member Shellie Milne in November.
Washington was only able to garner 39.9-percent of the votes cast.
A victory of more than 50-percent would have avoided a runoff.
