A proposal would begin the process of eliminating much of the agency’s authority.

Riverside County supervisors Marion Ashley and Kevin Jeffries are sponsoring a measure asking the Board of Supervisors to take the first steps in restructuring the March Joint Powers Authority, eliminating much of its jurisdiction.

After laying out documents from hundreds of boxes seized from Beaumont City Hall and other locations during raids in April 2015, members of the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office’s Public Integrity Unit began the task of poring over the papers, looking for evidence of corruption.
