Supervisors OK spending $12 million on web-based financial management system

The San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Office will undergo an overhaul of its computerized financial management program with a more than $12 million state-of-the-art web-based system approved by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

California, whose state budget is highly dependent on volatile income taxes, is the least able big state to withstand a recession, according to a “stress test” conducted by Moody’s Investor Service.
