Warehouses totaling more than 6 million square feet of space were completed in the Inland region in the first quarter of 2016, and nearly 16 million square feet are under construction.

The report by JLL, an investment managing and real estate services firm, supports the firm’s predictions of a healthy 2016. JLL has offices throughout Southern California, including in Ontario.

“We have robust tenant demand, and that’s really the key to everything,” said western region managing director Bo Mills in a January phone interview. “Because of that, we’re going to see rents push up higher.”

JLL breaks down the Inland region into west and east submarkets. The boundary is roughly Fontana, Mills said.
