Surprisingly there’s only two in a slew of San Bernardino County Superior Court Judgeship’s being contested in June.

One of the two contests will result in a runoff election, while the other will return the incumbent to another six-year term.

In Superior Court Office #24, seven hopefuls have taken out nominating papers to fill an open seat.

The hopefuls include: Attorney Susan Slater, Supervising Deputy District Attorney M. Denise Dvorak, Attorney Dieter C. Dammeier, Attorney Soheila Azizi, Deputy Attorney General Analee Brodie, Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem and Deputy District Attorney Doug Poston.

In Office #28, Incumbent Superior Court Judge Cynthia Ludvigsen is once again being challenged. This time by Attorney Brian Mayer, who has yet to return his nominating papers.

Ludvigsen will undoubtedly be successful again. For some reason her seat is routinely viewed as vulnerable, when in reality it isn’t.
