Southern California Logistics Airport was awarded a $6 million grant by the Federal Aviation Administration last month to rehabilitate nearly 1.8 million square feet of asphalt pavement with full-strength pavement and approximately 200,000 square feet of asphalt shoulders, as well as replace all runway markings removed during the construction.

As a condition of the grant award, the City Council earlier this month appropriated $137,907 for the project in grant matching funds from the city’s airport operations balance, according to a city staff report.
