Former Florida governor Jeb Bush just dropped 33 years of tax returns on his campaign Web site, the sort of mega data dump that he’s tried to make a hallmark of his campaign. When he first started talking about running for the presidency, he released his e-mails from his time as governor of Florida; like the tax documents, they required a bit of digging through to extract useful information.

So we dug. We pulled the total income for Bush and his wife Columba (who file jointly), total taxes paid and contributions to charity for each year of filing that Bush released. (Charity data was included only after 1988.)

As we’ve noted elsewhere, Bush’s post-governor life has been lucrative. We don’t even need to tell you when he left office; it’s immediately obvious on the graph below.
