Lou Desmond

Tonight on the Lou Desmond and Company Show: Lou is joined by Ryan Hagen, at the San Bernardino Sun, and Cliff Cummings, owner of Toyota of San Bernardino, to discuss San Bernardino’s recent trip to Sacramento to lobby the Governor for assistance in the bankrupt city.

After that, Heidi Harris, radio host in Las Vegas, joins to program discuss about several topics. On the list: “White Privilege” training in St. Paul, pot in Riverside, and Pools vs. Lawns.

Then, Phil Naman, host of the Firing Line Radio Show, joins Lou to discuss political goings-on in Sacramento. Healthcare will be extended to illegal immigrants. And the state Senate voted to raise the minimum wage. How does that work out?

Organizers say the removal of the mayor and a councilwoman were justified.

Gas Prices

After weeks of slow but steady declines, California gasoline prices ramped up again in mid-May.

Just about two years ago, when gasoline prices in most of California last moved well above the $4-per-gallon level, crude oil cost $147 a barrel. Oil companies said the high price of crude was a major factor in that price spike.
