City officials are wondering how to handle accusations against employees without squashing free speech at council meetings.

The day after a Riverside City Council meeting where a resident made scandalous accusations about city employees, the city yanked the video from its website and refused to broadcast it on cable, instead re-running an old meeting.

The lawsuit between the city of Ontario and Los Angeles over ownership of Ontario International Airport is months from its Aug. 17 trial date, but for the second time in this year, a piece of the case has gone to state appellate court.
