A security breach at one of the San Bernardino County courthouses has now subjected lawyers to extra scrutiny.
Members of the State Bar will now be subjected to the same security screening requirements as the general public. The change was reportedly brought about by a lawyer carrying a firearm into the building. It’s not the first time it’s happened, but hopefully it’s the last.
Up until now, a member of the legal profession had to only show their Bar Card to pass through security screening.
Here’s an example of how one person can ruin it for everyone.
