Expressing humility following a bitter campaign and outlining plans to prevent youth crime and crack down on gangs, Mike Hestrin was sworn in Monday as the 15th district attorney in Riverside County’s 121-year history.

Testifying before a state Attorney General’s panel Monday in Lynwood, San Bernardino County 1st District Supervisor Robert Lovingood expressed support for Ontario-based Prime Healthcare’s proposed acquisition of six struggling nonprofit hospitals.
