GOP

Well let’s just say the California Republican Party has bigger issues than democrats running the show in Sacramento.

Last weekends convention was an embarassment.

If there’s one thing republicans are known for, it’s internal bickering. Newspaper accounts of the event placed the bickering front and center.

Where do we start!

New republican Barbie Doll and GOP candidate for state controller, Ashley Swearengin (R-Fresno), refuses to endorse GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Neel Kashkari. As a matter of fact, it seems the GOP contenders, as a group, can’t seem to figure out who’s endorsing who.

What a mess!

Then GOP Chair Jim Brulte, a great fundraiser for the party, laments to the media about the convention be scheduled too close to Election Day, and in fact, Brulte says there’s too many gatherings, too often.

Ya think?

The mission of the GOP in California has degenerated to nothing more than preventing a democrat supermajority in the legislature. That about sums it all up.

As more migrants enter the state, and eventually gain citizenship, the GOP base will shrink even further. The disorganization and party bickering only worsens the sad state of affairs.

The party’s inability to even choreograph its own convention is bewildering.
