Three years ago, Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione sponsored a resolution in support of Gov. Jerry Brown’s public safety realignment plan, which shifted responsibility for low-level offenders from the state to counties.

It’s a move Tavaglione regrets. Using blunt language at times, he made his misgivings known during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
