FONTANA >> Each of the 44,000 metered customers in the Fontana division of the San Gabriel Valley Water Company could see a check for $240, and a retroactive rate decrease, according to the Office of Ratepayer Advocates.
The independent consumer advocacy office announced Friday that a decision was made by the California Public Utilities Commission, which houses the consumer group, to order the San Gabriel Water Company’s Fontana division customers a refund of $10,6 million. The refund is for an unsuccessful upgrade to the Sandhill treatment plant in 2008,
