Today, voters will decide on Bill Emmerson’s replacement to represent the 23rd State Senate District.
Emmerson, fresh in a new term, abruptly resigned December 1. The stunt cost Riverside and San Bernardino County taxpayers upwards of $1 million to hold the special election.
Tunrout looks to be somehere near 25% of the District’s voters.
If no candidate garners a majority, a runoff will be held with the June 3 primary.
State Assemblyman Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) is a lock for this seat.
