A picture speaks a thousand words.

We’ve been covering the dust-up over the ballot statement of San Bernardino County District Attorney candidate Grover Merritt.

The Registrar of Voters was sued by the San Bernardino County Public Attorneys Association over Merritt’s ballot statement language addressing his prior service as the union’s president.

Current President John Thomas reportedly pressed the union’s excutive board to challenge the language to generate press negative to Merritt. Now sources tell InlandPolitics.com the union is asking for a single word to be inserted into the statement in question.

Yes, one single word.

The matter is expected to be resolved Thursday morning.

However, the confrontation is indicative of just how dirty the race will be.

Now comes the circulation of the above captioned picture.

The picture of District Attorney Mike Ramos and Thomas, at a Ramos golf tournament fundraiser, seems to be making the rounds this morning. We received it last night.

It’s reportedly rumored Thomas has high hopes of being an Assistant District Attorney, under a fourth Ramos term, should he be reelected.

A particular newspaper reporter must be feeling a little more than misled this morning.
