When it was Sheriff-Coroner John McMahon in the tank, it was an accident.
But, when it’s District Attorney candidate Grover Merritt. It’s intentional, despicable, dastardly, and outrageous!
We said dastardly right?
McMahon’s and District Attorney Michael A. Ramos’ consultant is sure making the contests for both offices rather entertaining. Actually, he’s single-handedly providing all the entertainment.
I was almost going to search for a Tweety Bird and Sylvester cartoon clip to augment this post.
Poor Newport Coast Campaign Consultant Dave Ellis must have his hands full these days. One of his candidates is out of control, the other, a dear in the headlights.
The issue over Merritt’s ballot statement appears to be one of the sources of local political entertainemnt this week.
Apparenty, Ellis forgot about his self-description of an “accident” with the McMahon campaign incident from a month, or so, ago.
Yes, we’re sure our readers remember the debacle involving McMahon’s campaign website. You know? That mistake involving hundreds of people on his endorsement list, that really never endorsed the appointed incumbent.
Yes, those hundreds of names that purportedly was a clerical oversight, according to Ellis.
“We’re going to scrub the list” before we put it back up, Ellis proclaimed!
We’ll this evening that list has a whopping sixteen endorsements.
Maybe there’s some lingering confusion still. After all, it kinda stings when people on the original list start calling up the local paper saying they don’t know who McMahon is.
One has to enjoy the alternate realities here.
Anyways, here’s the view from the McMahon website, post-scrub!
